How the colour was made
Through-coloured

About this piece

Borosilicate glass tolerates a temperature change of about 120 °C, which is why this one takes hot coffee where the soda-lime glasses in this range do not. Its stated ceiling is 150 °C for the contents. That is a specification, not a claim that the glass cannot break.

Care and safety

  • The rim is bare glass. No coating or paint sits within 20 mm of the lip.
  • Glass breaks. A chipped rim or a cracked base can cut — stop using the piece and wrap the pieces before discarding them.
  • Rated to 150 °C contents temperature and a 120 °C change. Suitable for coffee and tea.
  • Not for the oven, the hob or the microwave.
