About this piece
Decanters are traditionally lead crystal. This one is not — Glasshue does not sell lead crystal at all. Smoke-coloured glass darkens a red wine visually without hiding it, and the wide base gives the wine surface area.
Care and safety
- Soda-lime glass. Do not fill with boiling water.
- Hand wash. The narrow neck and wide base make dishwasher loading unreliable, and a decanter that shifts in a rack will chip.
- Glass breaks. Discard the piece if the neck chips.
