Glasshue
Sea-blue glass side plate in direct sun, casting a sharp blue disc of light onto the table.

Side Plate Ø16

Flat glass, so the colour lands as a clean disc.

Colour

Colour name
Sea
How the colour was made
Through-coloured

The colour is in the glass itself, not applied to its surface, so handling and dishwashing cannot wear it off.

Screens do not show glass accurately. These are photographs taken under stated light conditions, not a colour match — the object will look different again in your own room.

About this piece

A plate is the simplest possible demonstration of the idea behind this range: a flat sheet of coloured glass drops an almost exact copy of itself onto the surface below.

Care and safety

  • Soda-lime glass. Not for the oven, the hob or the microwave.
  • Glass breaks. Do not cut directly on the plate — a knife will score it and a scored plate is a weak plate.
